Luxe Flooring & Stone is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including those who navigate the web using assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of building a good site, not an afterthought.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Those guidelines cover things like sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive alt text on images, semantic structure for screen readers, and forms that announce errors clearly.

What we have built in

• Semantic markup: Headings, lists, navigation, and landmarks use the right HTML elements so screen readers and other assistive tech can move through the page meaningfully.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, dropdowns, the contact form) can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. The Services and Service areas dropdowns open on focus, and the mobile menu closes with the Escape key.
• Visible focus indicators: Every focusable element shows a gold outline when it receives keyboard focus.
• Alt text: Photos describe the content (showroom interior, product samples, storefront) so the meaning is preserved if images do not load or cannot be seen.
• Color contrast: Text colors meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast against their backgrounds. The dark hero overlay was tuned to keep gold and white text legible against varied photography.
• Reduced motion: If you have "Reduce Motion" enabled in your operating system, our hover animations and scroll transitions are softened automatically.
• Form labels and error messages: Every form field has an associated visible label, and errors are announced inline with a role of "alert" so screen readers pick them up.

Areas we are still improving

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We know there are areas where we can do better, including image descriptions for new gallery photos as we add them, captioning for any video content we publish in the future, and continued auditing as we add new pages.

Visiting our showroom

Our physical showroom at 2872 Grand Point Hwy, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 has a ground-level entrance and accessible parking. If you have specific accessibility needs for an in-person visit, call ahead and we will make sure things are set up to accommodate you.
